Description

!!!! ABOUT Classic Car Rescue-Adoptions !!!! We spend endless hours searching the net nationwide to track down forgotten discarded and left for dead classics and bring them to open market to find them a new home and hopefully a second chance to be out on the road again. Many of these cars have been sitting for years ,some don't need much, others may need full tune ups and or restoration, but all need a new home. We are not a restoration shop, body shop or mechanic , we simply track down these very Special, rare, unique or just quirky beauties where ever they are in the country and save them from sure death at Crusher . Today we bring you a super cool restoration project from the late 70s, a 1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 61,342 on the clock (TMU/EXEMPT) ,in what looks to be original/Unrestored condition . We Found and rescued this Classic from storage in South Florida , where it likely sat abandoned for a while, its does run and drive and brakes work which will make it easier to transport , has a clean title and all paper work its ready to go . It is now up for adoption, looking for a new family that will hopefully bring it back to what it once was and put it back on the road where it belongs. ...Details below!!!! INTERIOR : looks to all original as it came from the factory, door panels are worn with specially the lower half, these are 2 piece panels,(see pics), left window crank handle(interior) its broken, left door handle(interior) to hold or pull the door its loose, left handle(interior) to open the door its missing, has to be open from the outside, carpet its very worn in the front , upper dash cover has some cracks , quarter panel covers crumbling/toasted by sun (see pics) , front seat tear (see pics) , rear view mirror and visors were off in the trunk along with other miscellaneous parts, see pics for more details and visible damages . EXTERIOR , its actually not that bad at all, I was very impressed when we got all the years worth of dirt and moss off the paint ,but the only part the rust really got to its the trunk lid (see pics) where the combination of humidity and years of accumulated tree leaves did their damage , frame its clean, body has 40 years worth of average dings and scratches but again very solid and straight , clean body lines, doors close easy and smooth, paint buffed out better than I was expecting to be honest but its just good enough for pictures and to see the potential , it will need a paint job, that its not up for debate , but should be an easy one for the body shop . see pics for more details . MECHANICALLY, starts, runs/drives,brakes work, ac does not work, wipers work, radio works, tires look ok and hold air but not sure how old they are, how far will it drive? Maybe all the way across the country but that is at your discretion and your own risk, we can guarantee will drive up to the transporters truck for shipping . We do our best to describe the cars we find as good as possible and to the best our knowledge and ability , we concentrate on the visible and most obvious things on the car, Do to the nature of our business and the state of how most of our rescued classics are found with years of wear and tears, it hard to get every single detail so if you have a specific question or concern , please don't hesitate to ask.
